OUR STORY
Tumandok Crafts Industries is a Filipino social enterprise based in Bago City, Negros Occidental. Tumandok, meaning “native inhabitant” in Ilonggo, recognizes the local rural community as our company’s core strength.
We transform waste materials from raw natural resources into timeless and sophisticated handicrafts. Every piece is meticulously handmade by our artisans in an environment that fosters creativity and skill development, empowering them to turn great ideas into a reality.
At Tumandok, we take pride in honing the foundations of raw materials and pure talent to develop and refine both our products and workmanship.
We envision to be one of the world’s leading manufacturers of Filipino-made handicrafts that produce relevant and timeless contemporary pieces-- all for God’s glory.

The Visionary Behind Tumandok
Josephine T. Locsin
Chief Executive Officer/ Owner
In 1987, Josephine's journey began with a spark of inspiration from a local seminar. She founded Tumandok Crafts Industries, named "Tumandok" to honor the native community. Her vision was simple yet profound: transform local and waste materials into beautiful handicrafts like picture frames, vases, lamps, and tables. Each piece is lovingly handmade by artisans, fostering creativity and skill.
Josephine faced many challenges, including multiple relocations and a devastating factory fire. Yet, her determination never wavered because her business was not just about profit but stewardship and community empowerment as well— business with a purpose, God’s purpose.
Today, Tumandok Crafts Industries operates a 3,000 square-meter facility with 27 dedicated employees. Their core values—Love of God, Accountability, Respect for Creation, Integrity, Service to Community, and Excellence—are the heart of their showroom. Josephine's commitment to her team and community has led her to become one of Partners Worldwide's newest Local Community Institutions, expanding local artisans' access to global markets and providing essential training.
Looking ahead, Tumandok Crafts Industries plans to create a training center within their facility, where local artisans and entrepreneurs can learn to grow their own redemptive businesses.
